Over the past decade, our team has developed powerful arts-based experiential learning that inspires leaders and builds skills, along with unique assessment instruments that target learning needs, measure impact and track progress. 


The CFTW Learning Portfolio® and the CFTW Leadership and Innovation Skill Assessment® have been been field tested with more than 15,000 learners and validated through use in hundreds of global corporations, entrepreneurial startups, educational institutions, non-profits and public sector organizations.


In 2021, for the first time, we began to make our treasure trove of content and practical expertise available to executive coaches through our CFTW Coach Certification Program, which is accredited by the International Coach Federation.

Measuring leadership and innovation skills

The CFTW Leadership and Innovation Skill Assessment (LISA) ®

Our unique, proprietary assessment instrument measures the ability to apply leadership and innovation skills to the types of real world challenges your organization faces every day.  


The CFTW Innovation Skills Assessment is the only instrument on the market that relies entirely on direct and accurate skill measurement.  Other assessments base their insights on self-reported data and arbitrary personality profiles.


The CFTW Innovation Skills Assessment was developed by Harvey Seifter, based on a decade of his work in three National Science Foundation-funded Incubators for Innovation as well as Fortune 500 companies and other innovation settings.  


In 30 minutes, this instrument:

  • Measures the ability of your leaders and teams to solve problems, manage risk and make decisions

WHO WE ARE

Harvey Seifter, Founder and Managing Director

In addition to Creating Futures that Work, Harvey also founded and leads The Art of Science Learning, a National Science Foundation-funded initiative that uses the arts to spark innovation in science, technology, engineering and education. Since 2012, he’s taught collaboration and innovation to thousands of business leaders at GE’s Crotonville Global Leadership Development Center. Harvey is also a classically trained musician who spent 20 years at the helm of arts organizations garnering 5 Grammys and the Kennedy Center Award.

Fred Mandell PhD, Founder

Fred is a former award winning senior executive and business model innovator, visual artist, writer, teacher, social entrepreneur and transformation provocateur. He has developed emotionally resonant ways to teach individual and team skills, techniques and processes which accelerate innovative outcomes through arts based learning. His series The Leader as Artist has earned the number one rated course at MIT’s Sloan Innovation Period program.
